Hello all,

When my 1.7 D is ticking over in neutral I can hear fairly loud noise coming from underneath the dashboard which sounds like something is vibrating against it. When I depress the clutch pedal or I move the gear lever to try to put it into gear (but not succeeding) or move the gearlever to the right, the noise stops
Any ideas anyone?

its not the headunit vibrating in the metal cage is it?
