alright everyone, ive got a 1.4 8v corsa, and seen piper cams for 190quid i think it was, i was just woundering, if i brought them what would it do to the car, as im would it raise the bhp ? or what would it do, so whats the point in me buying them ?

roughly how much more bhp ? it wont increase the top speed will it ?

about 18 more bhp more with uprated exhaust manifold + decat, u say piper cams though?! there is only 1 cam in an 8v. 1 cam, 8 followers, 8 lifters and 8 shims, a good cam kit will include the whole lot!

and yes it will increase top speed and rev-ability, after a good tune up of course

it will NOT increase the top speed really.... unless you raise the rev limit.

To get the :.18bhp you'd ideally need some mapping too

were can i get it re mapped ? and my corsa b (p reg) does not have a rev clock but i brought one but its a bitch to fit to get it linked up to green wire etc, so can i buy like lockwood dials for corsa b which come with rev counter next to speedo and temp etc ?

i suppose it wont give any more top speed, though even without a cam, just a 4 branch, gas flowed and skimmed head my sri did 120 stripped out too. im sure with a cam she would have hit the limiter in 5th, giving about 130mph like my mates sri nova did, his nova was on standard ecu.

even if you bought the lockwood dils you would still need to wire it up s it mesures the revs

the lockwood dials are only a cover you still need the actual working dials for them to go over

cant i get the actully dials from some were ? as ive seen most corsa on here have rev counter were speedo is and they are corsab
any idea ?
