phones for christmas. somewhere between £30-60 is good. want some good ones with good bass levels and that arent gonna break easy! want the smaller connection so i can plug em into my pc.
last time i had koss porta pros... which cost me £65 and they died within a couple of weeks  so...
any recommendations

Sony MDR-V500's
Nice bass response (I've had them literally vibrating with the sheer amount of bass, while playing Call of Duty 2 and artillery lands around me  ), and they come as standard with gold-plated 1.5mm jack and a separate gold-plated 3.5mm jack aswell!
Very good headphones, comfortable (I've had some where I've felt like my ears are burning after an hour or two, but these are nice and comfortable).

look good man, but just read a few reviews on amazon...
The base is more raw on the MDR-V300 which may suit hard heads who love raw hard sound

no they are not bassy headphones and why should they be ? mixing headphones aint supposed to have lots of bass so if bass is a real issue then you will want a different pair of headphones. although i like bass and a lot of what i listen to really puts the word bass across, it was odd not hearing all those bass beats like i would through my speakers

Too be honest I prefere the V300 headphones there a little more compact than the v500 series and sound much better at high bass
so im not sure now!?
