Hi,
Was wondering if any one can help...
On my sony amp it has the usual, 12v and ground terminals but also it has an "REM" terminal. Could any one tell me the function of this? I had the amp connected to my old head unit and I had a wire going from a terminal on the old head unit to the rem terminal on the amp, however my new head unit does not have this terminal... so I need to know what the function of the "rem" is.
Any help would be greatly apreciated.

This wire turns on the amp when your headunit comes on.
Your headunit will have one but it will be called either P+ or REM or POWER AERIAL.
If its none of those then it will be the blue wire or the blue with white tracer wire in the loom for your new headunit.

Thanks for your help.
My "new" head unit isn't overly new, cant see any such terminal, the wiring is jusa standard iso connector.. Is it just a 12 v feed or is it a signal, if its a case of a 12v feed thats easy enough to bodge..

Remember that this must be a switched / ignition live otherwise the amp will be on all the time.....
