Did I imagine this.

Just "upgraded". Most songs appear to now start mid way through the first note.

Is there something in the settings for that? Perhaps its just when you rip music you can knock a second off through media player.

Yeah I was thinking some DSP / playlist crap thats trying to fade the song in.

i remember it doing this, subsequent versions dont have this problem. something about it loading the codec for each played song, since media player 8 was available at the start of MP3 VBR availability too. MP10 manages the sequence much quicker and doesnt dead stop at the start of songs
