should the car start with a turn of the key or should it start with key and revs put in guy at garage were i bought the car ps he aint no mechanic said all 1.4 16v engines need revs put in i kinda looked at him and thought you silly bugger i have a 1.4 16v
so a sked 2 m8s who are both mechanics and work heavely on vauxhalls both said it should start witha turn of the key and no revs like a corsa sport cold start please give advice asap

If you have to start it by giving it a few revs then somethings wrong

My X16Xe will start with just a turn of the key.
I've never had a 16 valve car that needed revs to start.

took it to another gargae today well respected one aswell they done the computer check no fault they also done a component spec check and all components are running to spec anyone for anyother ideas
could it just be an intermitting fault
