My net connection back home with UKOnline went down ages ago, managed to fix it by using some plusnet DNS servers, but those stopped working about 2 weeks ago. - I was using the same settings on my PC at uni and they stopped working the same time my sisters PC bacl home did, so i know its DNS again. I was wondering if anyone knew any free publc ones I could use, or if you could post up the ones that you are all getting assigned by your ISPs so i can give them a try and get my sister back online! Cheers if anyone can help

These should be automatically assigned - is there a reason why you can't use the UKOL ones?
I'm using Plus Net so they're probably the same ones you had -
212.159.6.10
212.159.6.9

the automatically assigned ones dont seem to be working
Those are the same ones I was using but they stopped a couple of weeks ago, im guessing cos they started restricting other people's access to them. Cheers for looking though anyway!

Try rebooting the router to get a fresh IP as Plusnet could be blacklisting her IP address.
Try using a proxy server -
Server: proxy.easynet.net
port: 3128
NTL's DNS are:
194.168.4.100
194.168.8.100

I could give you the ones that I use with my ISP, but considering I'm part of the team that helped block them off to non-customers, they wouldn't be much use to you!

I got those out of my router. Looks like they have multiple sets.
