Ive used flash to make a swf button for a site in making in dreamweaver but I cant work out how to make the button a link, ive read one site that mentioned doing it through actions, but cant work out how to, if any body could give me a hand would be ace

i dont have the software installed...but can you not right click on the .swf file and click on "make link" like you would a gif?

maybe not...but i havent used it for a while

you have to put it in the actionscript in macromedia flash

i ahve searched and think ive found the code that i need but when i try and put it in the action script bit i get errors that its not right, dont really know what im doing to be honest

ok ive worked it out now, what would be the url if the link was to go to the index page in a parent directory?

all depends where the swf button/page is in relation to the parent directry

../ to go up a directory or use the absolute location of the file (i.e. http://www.corsaspoprt.co.uk/forum/index.html)...
