Gotta split the shaft... is it an outer ???

I know its best to take the driveshafts out completely on a corsa... i have a split one to sort out

driveshaft out... cv off, slide boot onto shaft, cv on, grease it up to fook, clip boot on, driveshaft in, then fill gearbox back up with oil

A CV Boot kit will set you back no more than £20 from Motorfactors. It's just a fairly big and messy job to sort it.

now now cowboys, fight somewhere else

Cheers for the help folks. I need to know whether i can risk going to norwich and back at the end of the month, then getting it fixed on payday...

Can i not just grease it up before going on the journey, then again before coming back?

Nope, you will kill the CV, which i fucking expensive to replace. Also, grease will piss out all over the place. The grease turns more oily when it gets hot so leaking is inevitable.

£100 to change a CV boot!!!!! WTF!!

Just to add, I needed a CV boot for the Corsa at the weekend, and the only one they had that would fit was off a Citroen 2CV. Random. Cost me a tenner.
