hey ppl,

when ever we go to fill up my gf's corsa 1.2 8v, the fuel doesnt want to go into the tank. it pump clicks and the fuel stops as if the tank was full. it does this all the time and takes ages to fill it up.

has anyone else experianced this who could please help shed some light on this situation.

cheers

You're holding the nozzle too deep in to the filler neck. Hold it further out and it won't click off.

my nova did this, the breather that was in the rear arch had been battered with grit and stuff off the road till it had put a hole in and blocked it, dunno if that helps like also it used to spit petrol out at you so its not a good idea to hold it half way in while filling up

there is a green filter/nozle thing at the neck of the filler pipe which can come loose and fall down, causing a blockage in the filler pipe

happened on my old corsa, would take upto 10 mins just to put 10litres of fuel in it

had to take the pipe off & use a grabber to try get the damn thing out...
