Right got my new TV, now its got the blue plug in the back of it to plug a PC into it. I tried switching the one out the back of my monitor into the TV which worked fine. But obvioulsy my monitor is plugged into the back of my PC so I need another monitor plug or something? Or does it plug in somewhere else.
I have'nt really got a clue so could someone point me in the right direction of the cable or whatever I need?

You mean the monitor gets its power from the PC?
I think you can buy a monitor power lead that goes straight into the mains?

Basically in the back of the TV there is the same blue plug that is in the back of my monitor, but there is only one blue plug in the back of my PC tower which obviously I have my monitor in so need to know where I can plug another cable in to run to my TV.
I'm not very good at explaining stuff, hopefully im making some sort of sense.

Ok well if you are only ever going to use one at once you could get a monitor switch box, basically its a little box that you plug both the monitor and TV into and the plug the other end into the PC.
It has a switch on it that lets you switch between them.

But if you want the image split across both the monitor and TV then you will need a graphics card that supports dual monitors.

Ideally I'd want whatever is on my PC monitor to be on my TV. Sounds like its gona be more complicated than I first imagined though

Sounds like im best just swapping the cable from one to another if and when I want to. Thought it would be a case of just buying a cable. Not to worry, thanks for your help

You MAY be able to get away with a splitter, but not sure if that will work.
I have a dual monitor output on my graphics card so i can have both on at the same time.
Not sure what else to suggest really

How much is it likely to be for one of said graphics cards? I'll have a look for a splitter too, see if theres anything around.
