snapped the handbrake cable the ova day n went 2 a garage 2day n he sed its the longer cable of the two but that the smaller cable is pretty worn so hes ordering me them both, only fing is he sed he cudnt giv me a price as hes not sure!!! the cars a 2000 v reg corsa 1.2 16v, anyone hav a ruff idea how much these 2 cabkles cost? any help wud b great as aint got a lot of cash at the mo. cheers

They are usually around £15-£20 for the pair then obviously whatever he charges to fit on top.

Nah I think genuine Vauxhall ones are about £15 for the pair, dont quote me on that though.

ended up payin 65 quid m8 including labour charges so guessin u wernt far off, he also checked the car over, aparantly the clutch cables wearin down n all

Should have been about £40+ vat at the most really. At least its sorted now.

£40 + vat??...most garages are atleast £35 an hour!!!
and its easily an hours job, + price of the 2 cables.......
think you got a pretty fair deal there mate 
i think vaux is £15 just for the long cable - at trade price...£8 for the short cable too lol

Not really a good deal, we charge just over £20 an hour at our place, cable is £15 for the pair. £7 and £9 retail price. 1 hours work, so roughly £40+ vat like i said.
