just primed my arches and bumper, it says that i have to rub it down on the piece in the tutorial, but rub it down with what?? ive got the plastic smooth with 400 wet n dry and then added primer do i need to go over it again with this or another finer grit??

once primered, with wet 1200 to make it smooth

then primer again if need be...smooth again then base coat

1200? You'll be there forever

Wet sand it with some 800, don't sand through and make sure it feels smooth and even.
