ive got a corsa sport 1.4 16v just had head gasket done in the last 2 months, and its rattling now from the bottom off the engine took it to a garage and they said the crankshaft has gone. Can anyone tell me more info on this like priceand what to expect etc

would say big ends are shot. mgt of killed the crank but can find a new one fairly cheap

got told £500 wilth new oil pump and stuff does that sound resonable

£500 for what? fitting? parts? If your crank has gone you most likely need a rebuild anyway, and you can get reconditioned engines for around the £650 mark.
