can u remove the black plastic side strips that run along the side of a corsa b? they run just below the door handles!
anyone done this?

are u sure about that m8, because i dont want to remove them and there be marks where it come off or little clip holes and that! how do you remove them, is it the same method as de badging, the old hairdryer job?

No, they're just glued on. Use a hair dryer then eventually you will be able to peel them off. Use white spirit (and lots of elbow grease!) to clean the glue off. Then go over with either T-Cut or polish.

how longs a piece of string
use it until the glue is warm enough to remove the rub strip, and if you take your time and be careful it shouldnt damage the paint work in any way

i tried this on mine and there was an indent (size and shape of the strip) where it was on my rear quarter panel Quick trip Vauxhall to get some new ones was the end result! looked a lot smother though...

when u removed the srtip could you see where it had been even when u had got the glue off and polished over?

yeah and you could feel the indent if you ran your hand over it aswell, was very as I dont think any one else has had this problem??

i tell you what, anyone planning on removing them, DONT BOTHER! iv jus removed mine and the laquer has cum off in several places! the glue is ded thick tough stuff that is a biatch to get off 2! im going to put mine back on once ive tidyed it up! not happy!

i removed mine and they came off easy the glue came off with t-cut too. just used a credit card and slide it up behind the strip gently. the only bit that left a mark is on my drivers door there is a spunk coloured line wher it used to be. cant get it off with t-cut has anyone else had this my car is a dark colour.

I removed mine from my 1996 Sport, and it took a bit of the paint off from the passenger side, reason being it had been painted before and they had been masked out.
My car will soon have a new quarter, and full re-spray
