my mate wants to know
is it possible to cut rear springs on a corsa b?asking because the top and the bottom of the springs are narrower than the centre so not sure if its possible, but im sure a few people have done it...
and i dont want your opinions on how bad of an idea cutting springs are, i just want to simply know if it is possible or not? cheers

i know people have done it but i need to know if they used corsa springs. surely if my mate () cut the top shorter the spring will be too wide to sit correctly, hope this isnt the case though

You can't do it on any car really. On a Corsa rear beam you definately can't do it. The spring has a seating on it that fits into the floorpan and the rear beam. If you cut it off them the spring won't fall off. It just wont even fit on the car.

take the springs out all together, hahahaha, it wouldn't work, the car would basically be sat on the wheels and they wouldn't turn

ye lol thats what i thought. iv seen a guy who done it but he was on 15s so i suppose it would be possible. im on 17s though which will obviously need major arch work however, if MAJOR arch work was done, would it work?

It could be done, with enough time and work.
But, the car would handle like a bag of shoot.

I can't believe the question is even being asked. Would you consider cutting anything else on the car?
