Looking to buy a new TV as mine is an old 28" square thing. Works perfect but i now want a PC input so i can stick a PC under it to be used as a DVD player and internet browsing. Use my 4 monitor PC for working.

Do i want Plasma or LCD? It's for the front room so not bothered about screen size. Plenty of room in there really.

Also has Sky, DVD Plater and VCR plugged in there.

LCD.

Not necessarily 'better' as such than a Plasma, each have their strengths and weaknesses. I just prefer them.

Can be costly though.

yeah id say search for previous posts but by the time the search returns the correct results , TVs will be a thing of the past and it will be some kind of crazy whacky projectors things!!

But LCD is the answer you are looking for.

Anything over 32" has to be Plasma as LCD just can't cut it. Plasma isn't dead by a long way and is still improving which is why I miht by a 42 " Panny.

Why can lcd not cut it?

I hope the plasma you bought is 1080p because at that size anything less, lcd or plasma, just doesn't cut it.

He's not bought it either on reading it again.

Plasma will soon be no more.
Sony don't make them any more and I can't see otehr companies doing so for much longer.

indeed. I also read that plasmas were soon being phased out.

Think of all the cheap 50" plasma TVs you will soon be able to get at low prices
