a scart is a scart. Just make sure it's RGB and not Composite scart.
Monster do them. Or you could get yourself down to Maplins

My old man paid about £40 each for the scarts on his LCD and I couldnt really tell the difference so I unplugged the "good" ones and put the "cheap" ones back in and there didnt appear to be any difference

For it to make a difference the source has to be amazing in the 1st place and even then I have my doubt about spending more than say 20 quid absolute max on any cable unless your equipment is 10's of k a component.
Ixus are another good make.

yip, source has to be good to start with to make full use of the better £40 scarts.

just get a decent FULL scart thats shielded (has some thickness to it) and you should be fine, as like said, only difference would be the source - and the ntl box doesn't give that great a picture, so wouldnt worry about it too much.
edit - richersounds do a decent cambridge audio jobby (£20 i think), use it on my DVD player and it gives a decent picture etc Though its probably overkill for the STB

yes, definitely worth it. There is a difference even on the NTL picture.
even more from DVD to projector or HDTV

i like the look of that one? whats the better out of the 2 though? munchies link or abdus's ones?
I do think i need to upgrade the cable, picture looks so poor, some of it is unwatchable.
I use my 360 as a dvd player so will only need it for my NTL STB.

I have a qed one. excellent stuff. but mine is a scart to composite.
The IXOS XHT601-150 seems that it would do the job.
also recommended by 'what hi-fi'.
you can also try and look for a QED P2110
it's only 1m and highly rated

i just ordered the IXOS as it was £40 down to £20 with good reviews and free delivery. Should come tomorrow, and hopefully make a difference. If not il have to think about sky+ or wait for NTL HD

i think it depends on channel really, or programme. It just seems pixelated and blurry? I had a look through the box settings, there is RGB and Composite setting, its on RGB, that correct?
