The heads are identical.
Apart from e16se has low compression so if anything you'd probably lose power, lol.

So a 1.4 SRI lump has a 1.6 head?!
Is that where it gets the extra power from?! Or is there alot more to it than that!

Yes it has the same head, yeah thats why there 82bhp compared to the SPIs 60bhp, the head is much better flowing, larger valves and ports.
Just the 1.6 is a slightly lower compression engine, so the head is skimmed for the 1400 engine.
Some 1600 heads also had EGR port on the inlet side of the head.

E16se is also MPI.
Nope, c16se/e16se has same ports and valves as c14se.

Less power than what?
Both E16se and c16se are the same power(100bhp), apart from c16 has a cat.
The management on C16 engine is better, hence slightly more power when the cat is removed.

No, the 1.4sri gets it's extra power from the 3 extra injectors it has

SRi has better cam than SPi, much better inlet/tb design, and much better flowing head etc.
The mpi system itself isn't really that beneficial, a single point injection throttle body can give as much power as mpi does.
