right im lookin at gettin a 1.3 pug rallye need some work done 2 it tho the boy says i need 2 skim the head before i put it bck on ? is it a must and how much wud it cost 2 skim the head and where about is the nearest place 2 aerdeen that skims heads ?

incase its warped slightly if taken off incorrect or due to headgasket failure, so yeah, it is a good thing to have it done.
most machine shops should be able to do it for you, just ring a few and ask them nicely. think last time i had one done was 30-40 quid

local engineers it was that did mine. maybe ask a local garage who they use?

My local guy skimmed my head, nd provided a complete new gasket set with headbolts for £60.
