Does the standard Vauxhall immobiliser work when the car is locked normally, not dead locked?
My alarm is playing up at the moment, keeps going off for no reason so i'm not deadlocking it. My insurance states that it must be immobilised though.
Are there any common faults with the standard Vaux alarm?
Cheers.

The immobiliser is a chip in the key. Without the chip the car won't start.
It doesn't matter if it's locked, unlocked or dead locked.
