This is excellent on the BBC website, I'm gonna do it tonight because when I was young and stupid I was constantly over my overdraft limit and got charged £20 a month every month for about a year, could pay for my Xbox Steve

i got back £400 from all the times i had gone overdrwn, you can also claim charges for cheques bouncing.

BUT i'm pretty sure your bank can say they are going to close you account. It depends on the relationship you have established with your bank and if you want to jeopardise that.

I think your right on that. For example if like me you live in your overdraft they can close it. Therefore you owe them money.

i'm gonna check as i ave been charged a few times when i forgot to transfer money into my account for direct debits, if it's enough money to worry about i'm gonna do this!!!

they probably wont close your acount though, they didnt with me, it wouldnt be in there interest to, only out of spite

plus the bad publicity, just trying work out how much.. they charged me £210 in one month back in july for going overdrawn 3 times lol
they charge £30 a day for 3 days then if it goes over drawn again they charge you again
think i could be onto a winner

Hmm just printed off two years worth of accounts (HSBC) £440 this year, won;t be as much last year but previous years will be more.
^ years aaverage of around £400 is £2400
I'm doing it, gonna set-up a new accoutn with someone else first just incase though
