is all i need a vga m-f lead?!?

will that play sound? or will i need to get some kind of 'sound out' wires?

You will need a 3.5mm to phono cable for the sound.

ah the old headfone jack to red n white. i may have on of them. the ones i would use for an mp3 player to connect to tv/hifi?
