I've just upgraded my phone as per my vodafone contract, from a nokia 6680 (i think, the one with two cameras lol) to a sony erricson w850i. I've been left with my old handset, I thought they woulda taken it off me, but they didn't.
Whats that old handset good for? Is it worth ebaying as a phone to use - or will it only be good for parts?
Just asking so I don't throw it away when I could of got £30 for it

You never upgraded your phone before, you keep your old one. So the rest is up to you, flog it for a bit of pocket money, keep it as a spare, use it as a vibrator, use it to lure kids into your car, whatever you choose.

Would the phone only work with another vodafone contract sim, or would pay as you go sims work in it too?

Should work with all Vodaphone sims, and maybe other networks. Some networks lock them to their network but you can usually unlock them anyway.

Chances are the 'phone will only accept Vodafone SIMs but most Nokias are fairly easy to unlock.
If you sell it, look into unbranding it (updating the firmware) as well as unlocking it, it'll fetch more.

Last time i looked, you couldn't unlock those smartphones.
Will stick it on ebay next week, see how we go

they can be unlocked from vodafone, but at £45.....depends if u think its worth it!
