if i was to swap my 1.4 for a 1.6 engine would i need to swap the gear box and clutch?

Is your current x14xe a non-PAS model?

If so, you will have to use the x14XE o/s mount and the corresponding shorter auxillary drive belt.

no, you can use your flywheel, clutch gearbox

if its off a astra, you will have to swap inlet manifolds over
