Right the rear speaker wires are behind the pillars in the back. About 10inch from the bottom. Just look for a taped up block. Thts the plug on the end of the speaker wire.
Hope that helps ya

Ah nice one. So you have to take the whole pillar off? Will have a good look tomorrow. Are they long enough to stretch out to the parcel shelf then? Thanks Gaz, TC

Here ya go. (not my car btw)
Just take the plastic cover off.
No, they arnt long enough to reach to 6x9s. Just chop the plug off the end and connect to some speaker cable.

Yeh, audioisland good for speakers to? Still havent got any, intend to get um tomorrow. Any suggestions? Infinity 9618's look pretty kewl. You gotta take all the seatbelt out? Just had a quick peek, the panel seems to go all the way round the back windows. I need to get better at this ICE stuff!

I didn't have any wires there in my corsa. I had to wire the 6x9's directly into the head unit.

Ah infact looking at that picture i never checked there :S I just cut into the back speaker wire at the headunit. I still need to hide my wires.
When i done it i only checked behind the speaker grill at the back.

TC - get some spade connectors or something like that to connect the wires up so if you want to take the parcel shelf out, you can easily without unwiring the speakers.

Thanks, will make sure I do that OK i fear the worst, can't see any wires behind that panel, have attatched photos. I guess you mean behind here
All i can see is this
Another quick question guys, do i need new bits for these front speakers or will new ones just fit in? e.g. that cradle bit, does it need replacing?
Cheers

Hmmmm, mabey some models dont have the wires behind there, even tho my merit did so im a bit confused.
As for the front speakers, you need to buy an adaptor that holds your neew speaker.

Yea i had to create my own spacers. Now the bottom half of my door card doesn't fit on So i need to cut a bit out.
As for the 6x9's you need to wire them into the back of the head unit. I think it's two green wires you are looking for if i remember correctly. Two green and two pink i think.
I think...

Right, some Infinity 6x9's on offer in halfords half price at £50, possibly this weekends project! Bought some Infinity 5010CS today, have put them in however at loudish volumes seems to be much vibration, will some foam insulation stylee stuff solve the problem? Not sure where to put the tweeters I know they have to be within 18cm (I was told) to the woofer and the wires are tiny so need a load more wire.

The 'instlation' you are talking about is called Dynamat, well, thats the mosyt popular one anyway. http://www.dynamat.com/products_car_audio_door_kit.html
Now, where to mount tweeters. If it was me, to keep the standard look, i'd put them where the origional vaux ones are in your door handles (behind that little grill)
