i'm just looking at a house that needs some work and trying to price up some improvements/repairs.
has anyone recently had new windows fitted?
if so, please say what type, how many, and costing etc to give me an idea.
cheers

i think it would be 6 average sized windows, 1 large window, and two doors.
not sure at the moment whether timber or upvc would be cheaper.
i actually work in the window industry, but sadly have no idea about pricing.

We had ours done in November.
5 tall windows, 6 normal size windows, 1 big bay window that includes 3 pains and needed to be propped etc. and 3 small windows. Most of them the top half of the window opens outwards and the 3 small ones open inwards like doors so can be used as fire escapes.
Cost 5.5k
