Hey...
Got up this morning and my car won't start. Clock reset etc.
I noticed that the power light on my amp was on even without the key in.
Amps aren't suppose to be on all the time are they? Thought that was what the remote wire was for!?
Edit... Remote wire is connected to this...

yep the remote wire turns the amp on/off but if the rem wire doesnt turn the amp off you end up with a flat battery
i would check the voltage from the rem wire with the stereo on and off on it should be 10-14 volts off it should read 0 -0.5
if the amp is still on take the rem wire off and see if the amp turns off if it doesnt its your amp playing up

It does turn it off when i disconnect, but then turns it back on when i reconnect.
Seems like its a constant 12v feed, not a switched...

it sounds like theres a problem with your head unit then if theres a perm 12V
