after replacing the broken part the light in the dash is still on the car runs fine now but the light wont go off.if i was to disconnect the battery would this solve the problem,

Possibly, I think it's for about 20mins, some people say 2 hours so I'm not sure on the time.
If you do, make sure you have your CD/tape/radio player etc code available as this will be reset.
The car may also run funny after you first disconnect the battery and start it up - this is normal as most ECU's are self learning so it'll reprogramme it self.

If the light is constantly on then there is a fault with your car mate.Get a paperclip test done and then report back.Leave it long term and youll be fucking your car up!!

puged it in at a garage and had the air gas value done as thats what it sad on the computer but the light is still on and has no fault so the computer says

just put the battery back on and it still does it the light flashes twice if this makes any difference

had it tested again and now the mass air flow meter is not showing a reading, they say its this or so wires some were
