Right my work are upgrading our phone systems which will be linked to our pc's so they can see who we are calling/inbound calls etc..
my boss just mentioned that when this system gets put in he will be able to see from his computer what websites etc people are going on.. (now he has a horride sense of humour but i couldnt tell if he was joking or not)
how is it possible for him to see me going on corsasport etc? we are on a network that is all..

I highly doubt he will be able to see what websites you are going on.
It is often monitored but these details are usually only available on request or if someone is seen to be excessively using the internet.

How big is the company?
Is his role technical at all?
If it isn't then I highly doubt he would have any software that lets him see what you are doing.

no he doesnt have a technical roll. like i said i couldnt tell if he was joking or not, he seems to think this new phone system we have will have all our computers linked and he would see from his computer.

It's not unfeasable for a company to use monitoring tools. It's totally possible he could see what websites you're on. But as James said, generally it's on request from IT.
It doesn't matter what you delete from your PC as the server will log all.

It's terrible coming on here from work.
After getting a link that wasn't blacklisted every thread on here has fuck or shit in it, which wasn't a problem before.
Not been pulled up yet though.

Of course it is possible - your internet connection comes in centrally and is distributed around the network. If you look in the central log of who has been where, you see the list of web sites.
Spending the time reading this is of course nearly as much of a waste of time as going to web sites of course, so you might want to point out to your boss that while they are investigating you coming on here, it isn't just you who isn't working.
