What people suggest?
Got budget of around 200 quid.
Looking for new board, processor, and memory.
Im well out of the hardware scene since moving on frm my last job, last time i was around amd semprons had just come out.
ATM have 1.5 P4, with 1x 256mb and 1x 128mb , machine runs OK, but since im running vista, while running photoshop cs, and dreamweaver it slowly grinds to a half, so just wanting to fresh things up a bit.
Cheers

£200 wont get you a state of the art setup, but you can get a Intel Core 2 DUO LGA775 E6300 1.86GHz Retail / Gigabyte 965P DS3 / 1GB GeIL PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Kit - Bundle for £229 inc vat from Overclockers
Also upgradedable in the future... but then i thought that when i bought my socket 939 bundle.
Truth is what ever you buy will be £100 cheaper next month and already out of date.

i dont think theres anything in it at the moment. Intel have a very good range of processors, enough to make me buy my first intel cpu when i next upgrade

cheaper chips, AM2 Motherboards in that price range tend to have better features

More graphics cards wont help with photoshop or dreamweaver nor will that be of any use on a £200 budget, so thats a pointless feature having. Also, DDR2-800 is fine (and is the current max supported memory speed anyway) for the Core 2 Duo.
The core 2 duo setup will run rings around an AM2 setup easily.

as said above. IF hes only spending £200 on a bundle, he wont be wanting an SLI gaming machine.
