Got a voucher for Dixons/currys/whatever its called these days - £549.99
PS3 is out tomorrow, could possibly get one of these
XBOX 360 is the toher gaming option. Could afford that plus quite a few extra bits & bobs
Don't really need a new TV, but I could buy a nicer/bigger one
SLR camera - Got a point & click one at the moment & quite like photography. A decent camera would be good choice (this is definately towards the top of the list)
Could buy £550 worth of A4 paper Or batteries
Other suggestions?
Its meant to be to replace a camcorder, but I don't really need one so I don't mind spending it on something else

Awaits same old repetitive geek day argument
Seriously though for that amount i'd see if you can sneak a shot of both consoles then choose for yourself, remember you'e getting a blu ray player with the ps3 but you'd get a 360 and a hell of a lot more games and stuff for that.

I have a PS2 & don't really use it. Never been mad on gaming
But if I had a better console I would use it more (I assume)
Having a good cam would be good for photography, but im not sure I'd get a lot of use out of it, other than the occasional pic of my car

Do this, but put the cash in an ISA until you are 100% sure you know what to spend it on.

Doesnt matter though if you're going to sell it. You will make your money back easy on the bay.

That's the problem with buying stuff right after it's been released, they charge you more for the popularity points you get for having it.
I remember the day i got my first reebok pumps they were over £100 the next month even the trampy kids from the bronx had them

Chances of waltzing into the store tomorrow & getting a PS3 are slim
IF it were christmas I'd buy one & sell it on, but I don't think I'd get much for it
