I requested my statements 2 weeks ago, they have upto 40days to provide me with them. My sisters boyfriend got his through pretty much on the 40th day.
Just been watching the news and they also pay out the intrest you've lost.
Anyone had any success yet, wondering how long it takes to actually get the money from sending the letter off to tell them how much they owe you......
I must be owed several hundred quid, have to see

I got back £900, and £100 interest from Halifax. They've charged me £20 for something else now, and when I sent htem the letter, they've now threated to close my account. I'll wait until i'm not overdrawn, then i'll claim it and close the account anyway

Has anyone had any experience with The Royal Bank of Scotland? I've submitted my letter to them, with a printed itinery of all the charges, with dates & interest, and also a photocopy of each statement containing a charge, with each charge highlighted.

Mine were with Halifax, so I presume it will be the same as they're the same group

I used this site as guidance.. I found it more informative than the BBC site:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1141050760,24632,
..plus they advise about reclaiming interest.

NO! I was wearing a kind of halterneck top (that uses a silver necklace as the halterneck bit)

I requested my bank charges from the 15th March 2001, so 6yrs worth, but this month i have occured 60quids worth of charges, can i just scrap the march month from 2001 and print off a statement for this month, april 2007.
As originally my 6yrs statements were from march 2001 to march 2007.
Or becuase i requested the statments over the phone, from the date they gave me, can i only go from that month like ive mentioned above.
Obviously bringing it forward a month will help me get this months charges as well.......

I sent my letter to the bank claiming my money back on Monday 26th March by recorded delivery. I've checked & it was signed for at the branch on Tuesday 27th March. I stated in the letter that I would like a response within 14 days.
I've still heard nothing from them (2 days after the date I asked them to reply to me by).. so I've now filied my claim using the online court system. Cost me £120 but I should get that back if I'm successful

Well yesterday I paid out £120 to the small claims court, having heard nothing back from RBS.. then this morning, a letter arrived dated 6th April thanking me for my recent letterregarding the charges & that they are currently considering my claim & will respond as soon as possible.

I just got all the statements I've got going back to Jan 05 only though totted it all up and its about £300.
So if I ring them up now, can I request they send me out my statements from when I took the account out back in 2000? Because when I was a teenager my finances were a mess and was always getting charged and could be worth twice of what I've already got.
