last week....

today...

can you see the differance?

Very happy SO FAR with the Anglian window/fitters, still have a few bits of trim to fit on Tuesday, but other than that they fitted them well considering what they had to work with.. meaning the house

looking at anglian at the moment, how long did you have to wait before they were made and fitted?

it was only three weeks ago when the guy came to take measurments (that was two days after placing the order) he said when you want fittting, end of the month??
I said what this month april???
He said, yep!

so a quick turn around.

anglian have been very good and the product is spot on. We had about ive companies round and anglian had the best product and were just about the same in price as companies that were pushing 'cheaper' windows.
Just don't be presured into taking out their Finance, if it suits you have it if you want, or if you get a better with a loan elsewhere, great.
Or buy outright.

over the moon though with the fitters, they've been back today to finish bits off.

No, that had been bricked up years ago and we only found it when the rendering came off. The front door is on the side now, we'll have a new uPVC later.

i actually prefered the original ones but maybe thats just coz the new ones still have the stickers etc still on them.

Love that type of house though.

Shame you lost the lead lights although I can understand if they were single glazed as the condensation would have been a right bitch

Also the original window glazing wasn't great, as the lead lines don't match through the windows (call me anal, it's what I do for a living)

It's also a shame PVCu windows have such 'fat' profiles...I much prefer the 'lines' of the original windows.

Looks good all around though

the original windows were uPVC too.. but very poor quality, they weren't even aluminium framed inside!!! very cheap I think.
never noticed the matching lines of the lead work, but we didn't like them anyway as they took a lot of light from the rooms.

these are so much better...

Have to say i think i prefer the leaded light ones on your particular house, but you have good reasons for changing.
Sure the new ones will look great once stickers off and front of house sorted.
You re rendering it? was it all rendered before?
