Had a look at two flats whilst we were up in Aberdeen at the weekend....both quite nice.
One is closing on Wednesday, and the second one on Thursday....so hopefully we'll get one of them.
This one has a massive living room and master bedroom and kichen, really high ceilings and huge chandeliers!
This one is in an old converted church....they have planning permission to make the loft into a room and put in a proper staircase, and the plaster ceiling can be removed so that the original beams are on show....and apparently it goes about 15 feet higher up...would be a pretty nice room once done

Top one is offers over £230k, church is offers over £195k
The top one is top of our list at the moment....slightly bigger and really high ceilings....
the church one has the potential to be amazing, but at the moment it's probably a bit smaller than the place we are in at the moment, and it will take a white to get it to how we want it.

have you asked for the plans yet?
I really am a bit confluffled as to why they have converted as far as the have, without going further into the roof. Most of that top room is useless due to the ceiling high. Seems daft if all is as she said it was up there!

The top one looks like a new york style apartment...I like it...much more comfortable than the church which although looking amazing...is a little small...
Parking areas for the top one? Or garage?

yup... the top one has great features and high ceilings.... Just needs a freshen up.
The church isnt that small, but has a wee kitchen, and a fair bit of space taken by the ceiling recesses.
Both properties have allocated spaces. Both properties have lanes with garages behind so may be possible to buy/rent a garage near by
I like the top one..... i can see it looking amazing with the right decoration/colours and fittings.
Looks a bit bleak just now.

Im a big fan of that old style wood flooring also...looks a lot classier than the modern laminate flooring you see everywhere now...plus it has some period features...
The bottom one obviously has been done to sell...if it didnt have that ceiling issue I would have trouble choosing between the two...
Where are both of them located? top one looks like its roadside...is the entrance that black door? is it ground floor?

self contained ground floor. On the road (about a 8ft pavement), opposite a school.
Church is close to a road too, but no AS close.

I think after a little bit of decorating and with some furniture in it the top one would be amazing.
It just looks bare just now.
The bathroom needs a bit of work too...but is usable for just now

Tough choice there. the church one has a few cool features like the glass bricks etc. I think i'd probably go for the church. Is there any heating in the lounge of the first one?

yes...there's a big radiator by the door, you just can't see it in the photo.
The rooms in the top one are massive...
the two front rooms which we'd have as the lounge and master bedroom are both about 17 x 17
has all the original window shutters too

i think the photography is playing a big part.
The pictures for the church are much better, with a wide angle too. It looks bigger than it is, where as the top property is actually bigger than it looks.
The church is a really bright and modern flat though.
The top one has a special andy stocker room. Its a room they called a study, but its only about 8ft long by 4ft wide..... we can lock him in there when he comes up.

It's all white at the moment...so we'd want to paint it...
We'd also want to change the bathroom and if possible knock down one wall so that the dining room and the 'study/cupboard' became one room.
It's fine as it is just now though....move-in-able!

aye... needs a bit of a paint/clean but its moveinable enough to do it whilst living there.
Build porch into hall.
Re-do bathroom
Re-do fireplace
See what the craic is with the study and dining room.
Andy - Its about a 30second walk from Dales christ.... just literaly about 10 doors away

I know one of the other neighbours too...
just phoned up to get the survey done and the woman on the phone said 'ooo, that's just two doors down from me, we'll be neighbours!'
