not down to the degree of the cam, its a mixture of degree and lift. some 270 degree cams will go in dependant on the lift.

id go for 260/264 not 256 - not much greater than standard

schrick 264 cams produce probably the best gains on standard pistons, seem better than the piper and kent equivalent. pretty sure the newman 264 is an identical profile as well, but a lot cheaper then schrick.
