Hi guys,

I'm looking to hook up my VCR to my PC to digitize some old videos...

The VCR only has a SCART socket.

I have this graphics card (plus an S-Video / Composite Video Input & Video Output Dongle): http://www.hothardware.com/articles/HIS_X1900XT_IceQ3_Dual_DLDVI_VIVO_512MB/

and this sound card:

Would I be right in assuming I can just buy this cable:

and connect the yellow phono socket to the composite input on the graphics card dongle, and then the 3.5 jack to the line in on the soundcard?

Firstly will this work, and secondly is it the best way of doing it for picture/sound quality?

P.S What software do people recommend for capturing the video and audio?

I use intervideo to record it...

Not 100% sure on the way of connecting will work...

But i connect the VCR/DVD/Sky (whatever) to the comp using a dvr box.
