Can anyone guess at how much this would cost to repair?

Thanks

£8 for a bottle of T cut? Upper one on the door looks quite deep though. See how well you can disguise it.

Na it happened a while ago, I posted the story in this forum as well.
A friend at College wanted to go to Tk Max, I offered to take him. I parked in a multi story, next to a big pillar.
On the way out I didn't realize how close I was to it, and i scrapped it. I don't know how I managed to get out - I was almost wedged in - I hadn't long past, and it was careless of me.

I've done something like that before, when parking in it, going forward. Luckily it scraped the black trim on the rear arch, and not the paint.
You'd be looking at a whole door respray for that I think and no idea at the cost. You don't want to leave it exposed though, so get some Halfords touch up paint or something just to seal it a bit.

I don't have black time, If I did it would of saved my paint
Do you think any of it could be fixed with t-cut, as Schlumpfy suggested?

May be - Tcut only really restores paint, it doesn't replace it, so if it hasn't got any paint to restore it might not do anything. The only thing it will do is make the marks smaller, because I doubt all of it is down to the metal.

Yea, well it's been like this for a good few months now - about 4 month. It's not really rusted, which is good.
As you can see, the scratch goes onto the rear quarter pannel as well
I might try T-cut it when I get home.

Tcut will be worth a try, but I recommend getting some touch up paint from Halfords (or Vauxhall for a better colour match) in the mean time, to protect. Once the rust sets in, it'll be even worse and more expensive to sort out.

Do you think I would be OK to use? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_223325_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__CarSelectorGroupId__varient__categoryId_31434_crumb_33958-31519_parentcategoryrn_31434
I might go and get some after College, t-cut it when I get back home, and then try the touch up stuff.
Has anyone used this before?

Those pens are crap from halfords. Mymate tried them out and it does literally look like uve used a permanent marker, youll still be able to notice the scratch easy

Ah right, maybe I wont get the pens then - are they really that bad?
I'll give T-cut a shot anyway today when I get home, it's worth a shot.
£90? Would that be the door only? Or would it include where the scratch is on the rear quarter pannel slightly?

The pens really are that bad. It may cover up the scatch a bit but the finish is awful. You will probably need to get the whole door resprayed, rather than just the bad area which wud be about £90. The scratch beside the door be more cost onto that, but hopefully you can find a painter that doesnt have to spray the whole area cos ur looking at big money for that panel

you could try this...
Get some touch up paint from halfrauds, the one with the red primer in too and clean the scratches up and build up layers of primer till its near the surface then use the paint till it rises slightly above the surface.Leave it for around 3 to 4 days to dry properly then use some rubbing or cutting compound to cut it back to the level of the original door paint then t cut it.

Yes, the pens are shite, but it was purely a protective measure against the elements. . .especially in Scotland

Deano is right, id get something over the bare paint if your not getting a respray soon, cos it tends to rust pretty quick

I tried T-cutting it, no luck
They scratches are all white - I'm guessing that means there is no paint bellow it. I tried anyway, and I made another white part, so I don't think I will be able to T-cut any of them out.
I'll guess I'll have to get it sprayed at some point, but it's really expensive

Did you use primer? I know Flame Red doesn't need primer, but when I done my bumpers and arches, looking at them now, they needed some primer
