I have just rang 3 to report my k800 as being faulty...got thro to an idian call centre (oh the joy) and insisted that it would go for repair. Now am i right in saying that im entitled to a new phone when its only 6 months old and still under manufacturers warranty?

Did you read what I just said
Warranty is for a repair
Nowhere does it say "We'll swap your phone if its faulty"
And its not 12 months, its 24
It'll only be away a few days, which is far better than any of the other networks turnaround on a standard warranty job

They're not required to exchange the handset if a repair rectifies the fault.

our repair centre is approx 7days turnaround sometimes we get them back 3days later but average is 7.
makes me laugh how many people demand a new phone when their 9month old batterd fucked phone has stopped ringing. its like taking your 3year old 30k astra to a dealership demandingg a new car cos your electric windows stopped working.
warenty on repair not replacement and to add to this its technically the manafactuers responsibility not the networks!

12 months int a 12 or 18 month contract?
There isn't really a better phone out at the moment from Sony, K810 is out this month though
