I'm not clued up on computers much and need help with broadband shared between 3 computers.
At the moment, there is a BT home hub thing with 2 ethernet ports.
Am i right in saying all i need now is a switch? or is it a router?
Do i need to setup some kind of network for it all to work too?

As much help and simplified as possible please

Depends what the BT thing is already doing for you. If all three computers independently work when you plug them in separately then you just need a switch.

Difficult to say really without knowing current setup.

At the moment, there is this http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=16536
There are currently 2 computers connected straight into the 2 available ports via cables. However, the 3rd computer has nothing to plug into.

All computers work when connected independently/directly into the hub.
I bought a Netgear switch now. But, question is, how do i get this switch to work?

You plug the netgear switch into the BT home hub, and plug all three computers into the switch. If that doesnt work, come back and we'll help you configure it

All fixed
It was literally a matter of plugging everything in as normal.
Funny thing is that it didn't work the first time, but it did the second time?
Who cares anyway, job done.

Thanks
