mate of mine has a x14xe sport and wont idle properly,
1. when it gets below 1500 revs cuts out
2. when slow down for junctions cuts out
3. fails to start sumtimes just dies straight away
4. when left running it struggles to stay at 1000 revs
i thought it could be the icv but where is it? and how much are they to buy?

icv on a x14xe is on the throttle body underneath at the back but is a bitch to get to mate.Best taking the throttle off itself and i dont think theyre cheap brand new tbh.

Could be the vehicle speed sender...
That causes the problems you mention.

sounds like my 1.4 wen one of the wires to the map sensor broke, have a look around the plug for the map sensor as there is not much play in the cabling
