my bro has just bought a 1.4 16v corsa sport. it was fine when he bought it but the next day it misfires badly to the point where it cuts out and wont start. i have given it an oil n filter, plugs leads and fuel filter change. but it still does it. any ideas where to start looking next. sometimes it will be fine then it will just start doing it. also the exhaust fumes feel really hot even when its only been runnung for 5 mins.
cheers adam

pmsl
They'd be hot the second they leave the engine seeing as it gets a tad warm inside a cylinder
Anyways
Do you know whether its mis-firing because of a lack of spark?

if exhaust fumes are very hot, it indicates overfueling, or damaged cat.
ofcourse they're hot normally.... but if very hot then there is a problem
