On my 98 Corsa Sport the black plastic on the back bumper is rather grey I've painted my arches so there obviously fine.

How can I get the plastic back to looking black. A friend told me a heat gun should do the job but I dont want to do it and balls it up without advice first.

Thanks

Heat gun will work. Just don't keep it on one area too long or it might go streaky.

why not paint them like the arches ?

can use filler primer stuff which will get rid of the grainy affect they have.
Mine are grey also but the front ones new are only £27 so gonna opp for that.

Well Ive removed the door mould strips and painted the arches. I dont want to paint the front and back bumper plastic parts because they are quite big and I dont want to fuck it up using cans or if I do it right looking to blue!

Might get some of that back to black though, what actually is it? A spray can or some kind of dye/stain?

wax on wax off stuff

Just a can of spray, spray it on leave until it looks dry then wipe and it comes out black, but it only last so long before your need to do it again

Thanks I think I might go and get some back to black tonight. Anyone know how much it is? It wont do any damage to the paint if some runs on will it?

use olive oil, it works a treat when rubbed in with a cloth and lasts a fair long time!
