I saw on a tv program that some guy put like a paste on a patch of rust and it like ironised it so it stopped rusting,
anyone got anyidea what it was?

Yeah, you paint it on and everything that you have just painted turns blue.

My mate uses the stff on his MK2 Astra.......... but the name isn't coming to me, sorry.

He showed me some bare metal outside the car and i said that he might want to put something over that coz it'll rust.

He said it's been like that for and 8 months now.

So, in a word........ YES.

I'm not convinced by this stuff. I used it on my last corsa and it did nothing at all. Sanded it down, appiled Kurust, anti rust primer and painted. 6 month later it rusted again. Wasnt worth the effort.

iv used it on nova and both corsas, sand down kurust i gave it a couple of coats and the sprayed never had any more probs..its good stuff, can get it in halfords aswell i think

Its only good for say a stone chip, where it has surface rust.
Any wheel arch rust etc it wont stop, as they rust from the inside out. The rust just carries on from the inside, and will just come back through again.

The ONLY fix for rust like that is to cut it completely out.
