My engine runs at 95 degrees when drivin round taking it easy, when its raining and im driving around town it shoots up to the big 100.
Im constantly driving round with the blowers on 2 and the temperature up to the max. My Mate said that i could fit a cooler running thermostat, would this work?
Any help appreciated, thanks

Just wire a manual switch up. a how too is in the Tech section. that way you can have your fan normal but then if the cars getting a bit hot you can just flick the switch and it will put the fan on for you.

Somthing is obviuosly wrong, so don't bypass it. Get a new thermostat and check for air locks

The thing with doing this is it takes ages for the car to warm up. No good for a permanent fix imo.

Alot of my mates said that it may have been the head gasket but i dont think it is. Ive checked the coolant level regulary and its always fine! Il change the thermo and see what that does.

Might be a sticky thermostat. Mine went on the XE. The temp was well above average.
