they do look impressive, but alot of gimmicks really, afterall, it is just an mp3 player.............

I swapped my first gen for the second gen as they didn't scratch like the first!

Have to talk myself into an excuse to by the 3rd gen

I'm meaning the nano, (this is the 3rd gen nano) not really followed the others but yes that be about the 6th gen ipod.

I could also be tempted by a ipod touch just for the gadget factor

I have a CD player in my (prospective and old) car, a laptop full of songs and that rare moment when I need songs away from car or comp, I can fit a coupleof albums on my pohone. No need for an Ipod

But thjey look good.

That new iPod Touch is only 8gb or 16gb though, isn't it? Couldn't even fit half of my music collection on that, so I'll stick to my iPod Video. It's also just a gimmick, you don't need that stuff in an MP3 player.

its just the natural movement in technology for it to incorporate the stuff it is doing - its just a shame its only 16gb max as is one of the few things that lets it down!

can see why thyve restricted the size though.
trying to place it within their range so they dont completely take over the normal ipod!
