im designing a basic web page for work for the intranet, im wanting the navigation bar on the left to "float" ie when page is scrolled still be visible, is there any way of doing this? im using publisher im not advanced enough to use dream weaver or anything lol

there are some scripts out there that will do it, just have a go on google

Don't, it'll look rubbish.
You should try and design your page so that the user doesn't have to scroll very far if you can
