Need a 3G card for my laptop, not sure which provider to go with.

will be fairly heavy use during 9-5, not in terms of bandwidth but will be connected most of the day.

Anyone reccomend anything?

This is true

It works on HSDPA, down south the coverage isn't great at the mo. Will be fine by the end of the year though

Card / modem cost -Free on 18 mo contract
-£60 on 12 mo contract

Cost £30 per month
Data included 3GB/month* (fair usage policy)

3's is £15 for the same thing. Speeds are faster too, I get 3.6mbps on mine

Modem is £49.99 on 18 month if you're not already a customer. Or it's 70 or 80 on a 12 month

The USB Modem is fastest on the market IIRC... runs on HSDPA rather than UTMS... I'm on one right now, very very quick

You're charged on transfer anyway aren't you? Won't matter that you're online most of the day so long as you're not downloading that much?

I'm after something similar although the two places I need 3G it doesn't work, namely the Pod and Silverstone...

Is anyone aware of a program to monitor internet activity? Something that would tell you how much data has been downloaded/uploaded?

I've not bothered with this yet due to download limits, and high costs per MB of data over the allowance.
