To run my front fog lights off the wiring from the rear fog lights?
Been trying to figure out a way to get the bastard GSI fogs wired up, and since my whole interior is out anyways, thought that I might try it.
1, Would it actually work, bridging off two wires from the rear fogs for the fronts?
2, Would it be illegal/mot fail for having the front & rear fogs all on the one switch?

mines like that mate, got a rear fog light block to plug into the frog light switch, and used splice connectors on all the wires except the live and negative which went to the front fogs. Never had a problem

Oh, so you piggybacked off the wiring from the rears to an extent, then the live etc to the actual fogs?
Not got the bumper back from spraying yet, so its not really urgent

hi again chris
been wiring up my front fogs today aswell, see post lower down page.
judging from the wiring diagram in haynes manual, in an original gsi, when u switch on the front fogs, the rears automatically come on too.
so i guess u would be ok.

i dont get a green light on the dials mate think its lack of a bulb tbh but it works good if you get pulled over for them, pull your seat up quite far and tell him you knocked the button when you got in and the bulb must be gone

Why don't you buy the switch for £1 off of ebay and wire them up independantly?
