Seen a few pictures of these inlets where once fitted they just block the ICV flow. How do they idle?

Lumply? You don't need to do that. The wires will reach.

I know the wires reach weel they need shortening.
But why block it?

I think your on about the EGR valve Stu_22, and the reason they are blosked of is cuz it doesn't really do any thing, but if you don't block it off the ECU will register a fault and car won't run right.
You still need to get the wires to the ICV, although they will reach with a bit of a tug, I decided to extend the wiring loom instead.

Wrong and Wrong.
It is there for a reason, but not needed. If you have the EGR feed correctly installed back to the mantzel/dbilas, you won't get a fault.

and the wires need shortening once pulled out from the rest of the loom.

Oh OK, but I can't see why you would block the ICV ?

Thats what im asking im making my own inlets but keeping a path for the ICV, but if dont need to I wont bother as the mantzel and Bblias seem to block the path

If the mantzel/dbilas ones blocked the path the car wouldn't idle. iirc, they have a cut out.

Dbilas and mantzel manifolds use the same idle control valve as before.....nothing changes really
